 ALTAR GUILD

The Altar Guild “sets the table” for the Sunday and Wednesday Eucharist services. Altar Guild service is a significant contribution to the sacramental life of the parish and offers the opportunity for a meditative and personal relationship with sacred church spaces.

The Guild is responsible for the care and preparation of the altars, linens, priests’ and servers’ vestments, brass, silver, candles and flowers.  Altar Guild members work in teams of two and serve for two consecutive weeks in a yearly rotation that places them “on duty” about every 8 to 10 weeks. Members are called on also to support weddings, funerals and baptisms, and to guide the congregation’s decorations for Christmas and Easter services.

Current Altar Guild members are:  Allie Andrews, Eliza Durkin, Pam Hiller, Kate Klarkowski, Sue Makovkin, Jeanne Nelson, Geri Olson, Marret Poehlmann, Gail Reid, Rebecca Smith, Victoria Temple, Quida Wise and Joanne Woodland.   Rebecca, Kate and Joanne are a collaborative Guild leadership responsible for scheduling, training and supplies.  Please speak with one of them if you’d like to consider joining the Altar Guild. You are most warmly welcome!
